Can You hear me?
We hear all the time "prayer still works" and "all good things come to those who wait." And the above statements are very true, but the difficulty comes when we're in the midst of praying and waiting. Sometimes it feels like God isn't there, and you don't feel Him. Just because you can't feel Him doesn't mean that He's not right there beside You, because He undoubtedly is, but it's still hard. It's hard to be in the middle of praying and waiting and everything feels...stagnant. It's easy to give up, and it almost seems worthless to keep on fighting. Impatience becomes your closest companion and confusion becomes your neighbor, and nothing seems to be going the way you'd like. In the midst of our heartache, confusion, impatience and immobilization, God is right there. He's with us every step of the way, and He hears every word that we pray. There isn't one action, thought, or thing we do that the Lord doesn't know about. He knows all, and He sees all. That being said, while we're praying and waiting, He sees the end result. He's already mapped everything out. Nothing is a surprise to Him, and in the end, once you've prayed and waited and you've gotten an answer from the Lord, you'll be stronger because you were able to make it out if that difficult season. The only way we can make it out, although, is with Jesus. So even if it seems like He's not listening, He is. If you keep on praying and keeping the faith, God will see that you are consistent and that what you're praying for is truly a desire in your heart, and that you trust Him, and He will bring you through. Be encouraged. Jesus is with you.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Exodus 14:14
“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Psalms 27:14
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be blessed.
-Micah
